All of us have known the pleasure of reading a good book, or learning of new and interesting ideas, or just a child’s read at bedtime - and taken it for granted.
Imagine not having that gift, yet as Linda disclosed, an alarming number of children, are not able to develop literacy and numeracy skills, and hence will never cope with later education learning.
Linda’s mission is to provide or enhance reading facilities in school, providing readers and books at little expense, to help and expand children’s horizons - her dedication was impressive.
I am sure there must be some way, that we can provide the means to help these children, and allow them the chance of becoming useful members in society.
