COMMUNITY GRANTS 2021- UPDATE

An opportunity to suport local groups

A programme to support organisations within the Stonehouse area

A small grant can make all the difference!

2018 was the first year of our  programme which was run in this area, and following the success, we are offering a further opportunity to local organisations.

We have been greatly encouraged by the way that small injections of cash can make a real and lasting difference to the running of community organisations.

Following the recent closure date for 2021 applications,  we are please to be able to assist the following local organisations  -

ARLINGHAM VILLAGE HALL

Funds to assist with installing  a hearing loop in the recently extended and refurbished building.

Frampton Congregational Chapel.

To assist with decorations and repairs.

FRAMPTON VILLAGE HALL.

To assist with decorations and repairs.

KINGS STANLEY SCHOOL

Funds to help provide music lessons to Year 1 and Years 5 and 6.

LONGLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL

Equipment such as  seating and a canopy following a recent refurbishment.

READ WITH ME

Their mission is to provide or enhance reading facilities locally in schools, providing readers and books at little expense, to help and expand children’s horizons    .

STONEHOUSE SHARE AND REPAIR

They operate a shop in the High Street repairing anything the public brings in.

SUNFLOWER

A small group based in Stonehouse. They give support to families and others affected by suicide.  This includes attending inquests, liaising with Police, Mental Health teams etc.

The Fig Tree Project

Based in Stonehouse High Street, provide numerous clubs, including Toddler groups and English language classes.

The funds to support the two Frampton based groups are from the proceeds of the recent Frampton Hidden Gardens event (and a big thank-you to all of the local gardeners  who supported that event);  the others have come from the Club’s general Charity account bolstered by supporting funds from the Frampton 10K Cider Race event this summer (with thanks here to the Stroud and District Athletic Club.)
