As we would hope after 2 excellent heats, the final lived up to all expections, with superb performances from these talented young people. Almost full audience at Sibly Hall really did enjoy a wonderful evening. Very well done to all of the contestants - and thank you to them all for some great performances which we all enjoyed.
Felix now has the opportunity to participate in the Rotary District Final, on Sunday, 3th March at Dean Close School, Cheltenham. We wish him well.
During the period that the judges were away on their deliberatioins, we enjoyed again a recital by last year's winner - Megn Hughes on violin.
Again our thanks to our sponsors; Wycliffe College; and our judges Rachael Howgego (chair), Hilary Barry, Julian Elloway, Brian Ireland.
Also an acknowledgement to the accompanists who supported the competitors - Mary Hughes, Ed Jenkins, Damian Kenny and Jenny Rees.
Without you all, the competition could not take place.
