Last October members of Stonehouse Rotary planted some four thousand Crocuses in three areas of the Green in Stonehouse. They were mainly the purple variety for a very significant reason.
Since then, their appearance has been anxiously awaited and because of the recent cool weather, their ability to fully bloom has been delayed. However, on Saturday 12th March, they finally did so, and presented a wonderful sight in the morning sunshine.
