This is the 14th Rotary Student Chef Competition organised by the Rotary Club of Swindon North and Thamesdown.

The overall aim of the Competition is to motivate and encourage young chefs in their chosen career.  It provides them with the valuable experience of having to cook under time constraints and how to present their dishes.  The students create their own menus within the given terms and are judged by people other than the tutors.

The students compete in two sections: level 3 students individually and level 2 students in a Rissotto competition.

For the students this Competition is a highlight of the year and they look forward to taking part. It's in the Catering Department of Swindon College at North Star Avenue on Friday 4th April.

Their dishes will be judged by two Rotarians and two professional chefs.

The Rotary Club is donating some top quality chefs' knives and sharpeners as prizes for the chefs placed first, second and third.
