Peter Dredge is going to be a particularly interesting speaker. He was brought up in Kenya where his mother still owns and runs the family farm (about 7,000 acres) but he won't be talking about farming.
He worked for some years in shippng up and down the east coast of Africa as a Load Master responsible for loading freight, keeping it safe during transportation and then unloading and delivery to its destination. We are expecting some interesting stories along an often corrupt coastline where he was captured and imprisoned by Somali pirates!
He then turned to development and built 'up-market' apartments on the Kenyan coast for sale and lettings to affluent Africans and Asians.
Peter recently married and lives in Highworth which hopefully he finds rather quiet!
