Let's Cook!

Rotary aprons for Commonweal Students to keep them cooking

In the pictures: Students and staff at The Commonweal School wearing the new aprons donated by us.

We have given some aprons to students at The Commonweal School to support the school’s commitment to teaching practical cookery skills and healthy eating.

With budgets under pressure, the school had found it difficult to replace worn aprons for its catering facilities. The new aprons will help ensure students can continue to take part safely and confidently in practical lessons.

The Head of Catering explained that students have cookery lessons every week, with one theory lesson in every four weeks and three practical cooking sessions. The school is proud of the opportunities it provides for young people to learn to cook — an essential life skill they can carry with them for years to come.

We are delighted to play a small part in making that possible.
