The Ken Forbes Quaich was contested on the afternoon of 27th April at Dunfermline Golf Club under the new single round format, using the Stableford points system.
The weather was great apart from a brief rain shower and the course was in very good condition for the time of the year.
We had 5 participants as Alex had to call off at the last minute. It was a close run thing resulting in a narrow victory for Neil Spriddle. Joint runners up were Stuart Nicol and Dave Riddell, with Robert North in 4th place and Donald Mackay in 5th place.
It should be noted that Stuart had the highest individual 9 hole score with an excellent 17 points on the back nine, and Donald had the best points total on a single hole, with 4 points on the 13 th hole.
The new format was a great success and would propose this is repeated next year. Thanks to everyone who took part and particular thanks to Donald for arranging the tee times and Donald’s sons company McGlashan MacKay for sponsorship of the visitors green fees
