A formidable dozen played out this annual event in the incessant rain at the Dunfermline Golf Club on Thursday 8th August. The weather curtailed the challenge to just six holes on the nine hole Halkett Course.
The modified scoring system based on 6/9th of handicaps, created a close result. The winning team by one single shot was that of Ewan Archibald, Linda Primrose and Robert North. The consolation prize went to George, Janice and Sandra.
The nearest the pin prize at the par 3 1st hole was won by Sandy Paton at exactly 4 metres. Second was Linda Primrose who was 5.36m from the pin but holed out for a birdrie two.
The players were joined by partners and other members for an evening meal at the Golf Club. Many thanks to Neil Spriddle who made all the arrangements work well with the noteable exception of the weather.
