A group of 18 was privileged to be shown around the First Carnegie Library in the World that opened in Dunfermline in August 1883. Our guide was the hugely energetic, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sharron McColl.
The visit included a look behind the scenes and an opportunity to examine artefacts not normally on view to the public.
