Clubs in Rotary GB&I have traditionally reserved this honour to mark their appreciation for service to Rotary and in our case also for services to the local community. On this occasion it was the club's privilege and honour to present a Paul Harris Fellowship to one of our own.
This goes to a member who has given tremendous service to the club, he continues to do so and I’m sure will play an important part in future years too. The only question I have is how has this not Ben presented to him before.
After joining the club in 1998 our PHF has held numerous posts from Speakers Convenor, Youth Services Chair, and for the last seven consecutive years as Convenor of International and Foundation. His input has been considerable and his commitment has been massive ever since becoming a member.
So much so he became President within six years of joining and in 2013 became the first member ever to serve a second time as club President. He is renowned for piping in his own top table at his Charter Dinner. Our new Paul Harris Fellow is Donald Mackay.
