Hank John - Travel

Tue, Aug 12th 2008 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Guest speaker was PP of Rotary Club of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay, Hank John.  He explained his journey that took him from life in St Vincent via the Royal Navy to become the well known and respected travel agent in Inverkeithing.  Hank revealed his thoughts on the ferry link to Brugee and gave an interesting and amusing incite into the travel business.

PP Ken Mackay updated the members on David Bruce's recovery from operation but had bad news as well in reporting the death, earlier in the day of Bessie Miller, the wife of our honorary member and PP Ian Miller.  President Neil expressed the club's sadness on hearing of Bessie's passing away at the age of 91.

This year's Curry Lunch will be held on Sunday 2nd November.  Stephanie reminded members that she still had a small stock of carbon monoxide detectors for sale.  Secretary Roger read out details of the Craws Nest Golf event for teams of four on 21st September.
