Ukraine Appeal
Winter 2023 Ukrainian Aid Appeal With the winter fast approaching Lorraine Staniek, a member of the North Cotswold Rotary club and head of the North Cotswold Project Lifeline is once again organising shipments to Ukraine.
The club has been working closely with the North Cotswold Project Lifeline including helping to fund an essential hospital sized generator.
Having recently met up with Lorraine it was made clear to us that there is once again a very real, pressing need for other aid. The shipments will be leaving in October and heading across Eastern Ukraine to Rotary clubs in Kyiv and Odessa.
Roger Hart is heading up the effort and has arranged to make a number of trips to the drop off location near Bourton on The Water.
To help please donate what you can, if every member donates just £10-£15 worth of aid we can really help make a difference to those on the front line. Anything from the below list would be more than gratefully received:
● Any household equipment
● Men’s, ladies and children’s clothing
● Toiletries and medicine (toothpaste, toothbrushes, paracetamol, over the counter remedies etc)
● Nappies, baby food, toys and nursery equipment
● Long life food (dry or tinned)
● Basic tools, old laptops and tablets
● Bedding towels, sheets and blankets
So with that in mind if you could bring any donations that you can make to any of the following 3 club nights, we will ensure the aid gets where it needs to be before the lorries depart.
● Wednesday 20th September
● Wednesday 27th September
● Wednesday 4th October
Thanks in advance for your efforts and in the meantime if you have any queries please contact either Roger Hart or Richard Dare who will be happy to assist.
Best regards
