Supporting the People of Ukraine
Members of the Rotary Club of Dursley were pleased to support the People of Ukraine by filling Friendship Boxes to be sent to Ukraine and distributed by Rotary Clubs in Ukraine to the young people who are suffering the loss and distress of the conflict.
The Friendship Boxes filled by members of The Rotary Club of Dursley have been delivered to the collection point in the UK where they will subsequently be delivered to Rotary Clubs in Ukraine for distribution.
The boxes contained varied items such as coloured pencils, crayons, colouring books and reading books, these stimulating and interesting contents give the children something whilst in shelters or at home.
After the boxes have been delivered they can then become lightweight and easily transportable box that can then be used for their "special things" they like to keep.

Rotarian Linda Cherry achieved a personal goal last week. She attended a ceremony at Aston Park, the conference centre of Aston Villa Football Club, to receive a certificate and medal in recognition of 100 blood donations.
