Pahar Trust
Since 2006, club members have been supporting a charity working in Nepal.
The Pahar Trust www.pahar-trust.org mainly builds schools but we have helped build 2 health posts in remote rural areas of the Himalayas. The first one was at Suketar as shown in its fabulous setting. The plaque recognises our efforts and the worksheet shows the workload of the nurse who staffs it. The second health post was at Bhedetar and the photo shows Dr Tim Mitchell opening it in 2010. Please visit the website for more information - donations are always welcome for our work in Nepal as we will continue to look for opportunities to fund projects with the latest one being a school extension near Dhankuta in East Nepal. Dr Mitchell is also happy to give illustrated talks about the projects.
