What we do Locally

Rotarians make an important contribution to many aspects of life in Witney.

Club Members are actively inolved in a range of activities including:

Witney Carnival. Along with a number of other local organisations, we organise the Carnival and Procession that takes place evey July. More than 5,000 people come together on the Leys for a great day of family entertainment.

Switch On of Christmas Lights. In late November every year we oranise the Switch On of the Christmas Lights in the Market Square. Another great event which brings people together and marks the start of the festive season.

Santa's Sleigh. We support Witney Roundtable with their ever popular Sleigh.

Firewalks. The Club arranges Firewalks in various locations around the District. These allow those walking to raise funds for their favourite charities through sponsorship

Wrap Up. In the autumn we co-ordinate the collection of unwanted witner coats and pass them on to those in need.

Social gatherings for our older residents. Cream teas and outings are a regular feature of our calendar.

Pudsey. We arramge for Pudsey to visit schools as part of the Children in Need appeal.
