Are you ready for the ultimate adrenaline rush?

2026 marks the Centenary Year of the Rotary Club of Welwyn Garden City. To celebrate 100 years of service to our community, we are inviting you to take part in our most daring fundraising challenge yet: A Charity Wing Walk.

We are looking for a team of brave volunteers to join us at Duxford Airfield to soar through the skies on the wing of a vintage biplane. This is your chance to tick a major item off your bucket list while raising vital funds for End Polio and our local Rotary club projects.

The Details

• When: 2026 Season (Specific group date to be confirmed early next year).

• Where: Duxford Airfield.

• The Experience: You’ll be securely strapped to the top wing of a Boeing Stearman biplane for a thrilling flight reaching speeds of up to 135mph!

Requirements for Flight

For safety reasons, the following limits are set by the flight providers:

• Maximum Weight: 16 stone (102kg) fully clothed.

• Maximum Height: 6ft 4” (1.93m).

• Age: Must be 18+. (If you are over 65, a doctor’s note will be required).
