The Rotary Club of Welwyn Garden City is proud to announce the presentation of a cheque for £1,500 to the New Zion Church Food Bank.
The donation was formally presented on Wednesday, 17th December, as part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to supporting vital local services. The New Zion Church Food Bank has been an essential pillar of the community for 16 years, providing crucial assistance to individuals and families during times of hardship.
The funds were raised through the overwhelming generosity of the public during the Club's recent festive fundraising programme. Contributions were collected via cash, card, and text donations across several platforms, including:
Collections at various local supermarkets.
Traditional residential street routes.
The annual Santa Paws event.
The Rotary Club extends its sincere gratitude to every member of the community who contributed to these collections. It is through this collective generosity that the Club is able to provide meaningful financial support to organisations like the New Zion Church Food Bank, ensuring they can continue their invaluable work within Welwyn Garden City.
