The Rotary Club of Watford, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Mushin Golden in Nigeria, is proud to support a life-changing water borehole project that brings clean, safe, and accessible water to communities in need. Access to clean water is a fundamental human right, yet many communities in Nigeria face daily struggles to secure this essential resource. Through this collaborative project, we have successfully funded and constructed a water borehole in [specific location, if available], providing a sustainable and reliable source of water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation.

The Impact:

  • Improved Health: Reduced cases of waterborne diseases, ensuring healthier lives for families.
  • Empowered Women and Children: With water now closer to their homes, women and children spend less time fetching water and more time on education and livelihood activities.
  • Community Transformation: Clean water fosters economic growth, enhances hygiene practices, and improves overall living conditions.

This project reflects Rotary’s ongoing commitment to creating a better world through service and collaboration. By pooling resources and expertise, the Rotary Clubs of Watford and Mushin Golden have made a tangible difference, empowering communities and improving lives for generations to come. The project was spearheaded by the International Committee of Watford Rotary that include David Silverston and Emmanuel Akinbinu.

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our members, donors, and partners. Your contributions enable us to take on projects like this and bring hope and opportunity to those who need it most. Together, let’s continue to serve and inspire.
