This is a really busy time of the year for the members of the Watford Rotary Club, we started our street and static collections last week and once again, the Watford community have shown their generosity. We also found time to host a large number of Watford's senior citizens for our annual Senior Citizens Christmas Tea, with special guests Hertsmere Mayor Alan Plancey, Three Rivers Council Chair Paula Hiscocks and Freeman of Watford Norman and Mavis Tyrwhitt. We had a fabulous raffle where nearly everyone won a prize and Father Christmas made an appearance to everyone's delight. Pastor Robin McEwen delivered the Christmas address and Andy Wakeford, head of the West Herts College Catering school provided the great food. Watford Rotary’s President David Silverston wound up the event by thanking everyone involved for their contribution.
