The Rotary Club of Watford will again be running the following Youth Competitions in 2019/20. They are, with the exception of Young Environmentalist and The Technology Tournament, designed for amateur individual applicants, meaning no extra work for teachers or schools.
These fun competitions are for students aged 7-10, 11-13 and 14-17 years old. Application forms with full details can be downloaded from:

The winners go
through to a District final early next year and National finals in March 2020. We
have had several South West Herts winners.
All entrants will receive Rotary
certificates and the winners a suitable trophy.
Young Musician – Solo
instrumental or vocal competition on Saturday 23rd November for amateur students up to
17.
Young Artist/Photographer or Film Maker – Entries on the theme ‘Through
my eyes’ to Watford Rotary by 30th November.
Young Chef – Prepare and cook a 3
course meal to be judged at West Herts College on Sat 2nd November.
Young Writer –
Write a story or poem entitled ‘Connections’ of up to 500 words to be judged by
30th November.
Young Environmentalist – Individual or group presentation on an
environmental project by 30th November. Ideal for Primary schools.
The Rotary
Technology Tournament – School Group competition, now at Watford Grammar School
for Girls, March 2020 date to be confirmed.
