Newbury Santa Fun Run: 11am on Sunday 22nd November 2026 - start & finish in Market Place, Newbury

Newbury Rotary Club has been organising the annual Newbury Santa Fun Run since 2017 and welcomes families to take part to raise funds for good causes across Newbury and the surrounding areas.

The Santa Fun Run starts and finishes in Market Place Newbury.

The start is at 11am outside the Old Town Hall, with the Mayor starting the run and handing out medals to all at the finish line. Collection of running numbers from 930am to 1030am at the Waterside Centre, Waldegrave Place, off Northbrook Street, Newbury RG14 1DS.

There are two courses of 1Km and 5Km so there is an appropriate course for families to walk / run as well as for more enthusiastic runners.

This year our lead sponsor will be Iconiq Fitness which has extensive gyms, studio and personal trainers based in Park Way Newbury.

The Santa Fun Run entry fee has been maintained at the same level for a number of years - and is much lower than many comparable events - adult £15, under 18's / students £10 and under 8's £7 per person. All runners have the option of a Santa suit within the entry fee.

Santa suit collection either at the Waterside Centre when collecting your runner number on the day or, if you prefer beforehand, from Scott Waters Opticians, 98 Northbrook Street, Newbury RG14 1AA.

Last year we had over 200 runners and the entry fees were distributed immediately to: Berkshire Youth, Newbury Cancer Care, Eight Bells for Mental Health, Loose Ends Newbury, Newbury Soup Kitchen and Kennet Community Radio.

This is also a great opportunity for runners to raise funds themselves for their own school, community organisation and charities.
