What an ideal way to kick start social interaction once again! Let’s take this opportunity to build team work while having a fun day in a competitive spirit with friends and colleagues, following the pandemic. We will of course still comply with any Government Guidelines applicable at the time!
After our very successful eighth year of the “Boules in the Square” in 2019 we are delighted that our annual “Boules Tournament” will be able to recommence this year. The event will be open to 16 teams from the local business and voluntary community sector and we would be keen to hear from any business who would also like to help sponsor the event. This will then help us to support our nominated local charities.
The “Tournament” will take place on Sunday, 10 July starting at 10am and finishing around 4pm.
We will have 4 Pistes set up in The Market Square for playing competition games. Local businesses are invited to enter a team/teams of 4 people – entry cost is only £60. Community team – entry cost is just £35. There are opportunities to publicise your company brand with programme and website entries etc. In order to avoid disappointment, it would be terrific if you could confirm your intention to register your team as soon as possible.
Other opportunities are available for sponsorship of a Piste, or even the entire event – see below and to sponsor the event please call me to discuss.
We hope to also have a fifth Piste set up for a competition open to the public with a prize for whoever gets the closest accumulated distance to the “pig” with 3 throws.
You are invited to come and enjoy this community initiative “Boules in the Square” organised by the Rotary Club of Newbury and endorsed by both Newbury Town Councils’ Leisure and Entertainment committee, and Newbury BID.
