Rotary International holds annual national youth competitions across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Newbury Rotary Club organises the West Berkshire heats of the Rotary GB&I Young Photographer Competition. Now in its fourth year, this competition has attracted entries from young talent from across our local secondary schools.
In 2015/16 we are planning to introduce a Rotary Technology Tournament to our local Schools for the first time. We will be working with Kennet School, Thatcham, who hope to host the event in February or March 2016. Schools from across Newbury and Thatcham will be invited to enter student teams and to join us in promoting science, engineering and technology for young people.

Rotary International Britain & Ireland supports the start-up and running of Interact Clubs for 12 to 18 Year Olds in Schools in the UK.
Newbury Rotary are working with the students and staff at one of our local secondary schools to support them in the setting up of an Interact club for their senior pupils.
The outreach community projects organised through Interact Clubs qualify as credits towards a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Contact Nick Burraston if you are interested in more information about setting up an Interact Club in your school.
Each year we sponsor a young adult starting out in his or her working life to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) adventure course.
The week long course takes place at Rhos-y-Gwaliau, a small hamlet near Lake Bala in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
