Young Carers and Foster Children had an exciting fun filled day organised by Newbury Rotary at the Waterside Centre, Newbury. From wall climbing, through to paddle boarding and hands-on talks about creepy crawlies, the staff and speakers at the Centre gave the children an unforgettable day.

Newbury Mayor Councillor Jo Day opened the event with a her usual warm welcome, and had a challenging time answering a barrage of in depth questions from the young audience. Formalities complete, the Mayor added that she was looking forward to coming along to Newbury Rotary’s next youth adventure day in 2027. Rotary President Ashley Gold expressed his thanks to Newbury Social Services, the staff at the Waterside Centre and the presenters whose energy and enthusiasm made the day such a special time for the children.
