If you wish to make a donation via our club's Trust Fund account, through which all such contributions will go, you may send a cheque direct to me (if you know my address) or you may use this link to our PayPal account (see below). NB It already makes reference that it is 'for Chris Davey'.
It takes all the major card types. We have asked for your email account only so we can thank you. You will NOT be added to any mailing lists.
Given the torrential weather we fortunately chose the right day. Theday before we had buckets of rain, so the first field was uber-muddy but no complaints were heard (perhaps because I was charging ahead to lead the way). The whole walk was 5 miles long but, as it was a figure-of-eight based on the village, you could have done either 3.5 or 1.5 miles. To the best of my knowledge everyone did the whole thing. For those who are curious I have loaded here a map of the route (as a PDF).
It started from the village hall off Leys Lane, at the top of the villlage. In spite of lots of local flooding and Gt Houghton High Street resembling a mountain beck loads of people turned up.
Remember one of the objectives of the day was to raise funds for the memorial fund in Chris' name for personal development of young people through foreign travel. Thank you.
