For many years we have been involved in organising a party for pensioners at Christmas-time. Originally we did it all - made the sandwiches, mashed the tea, fetched our guests, waited on them, entertained them and then ferried them home. Things have moved on quite a bit since then. Year 12 and 13 students, aka 6th formers, with the guidance and steerage of their teachers prepare the food and make the drinks and wait at tables. Rotary is now i/c transport and entertainment. Did you know for instance that Santa is an honorary member of our club?
The party was held at Weston Favell School, on a Sunday in December. The guests arrived for a 2pm start, and the show finished c. 5pm.
