Rotarians Help with Westfield School Planting Scheme

.

Members of the St Ives Rotary Club, together with “St Ives in Bloom”, Schoolchildren, Parents and Teachers from Westfield School, set out to weed and plant areas along the fenced entrance  of the Westfield School. in a previously poorly drained earthy depression at the Southern gate fenced footpath entrance - where flooding has occurred in the past.

A number of perennials such as Lavender,  sedum,  buddlea and ground cover shrubs were planted to help the area recover and reduce the boggyness.
