The Rotary Club of St. Ives was delighted to hold another Young Chef competition at the St Ivo Academy.
The two judges Cllr Philip Pope - Mayor of St Ives and friend of Rotary, Sue Pemberton, took their roles very seriously and there was a lot of discussion after the tasting of all 4 of the young chefs menus.
The St Ivo Academy was very welcoming as always and just before the judging commenced we had a visit from the top brass, head teacher and probably about 6/7 of the assistant heads.
The judges were very impressed by all 4 of the entrants.
Two made their own pasta, two also made bread, there was a roulade, apple tart, ravioli, stuffed chicken with cheese and pesto wrapped in bacon.
The winner Alex produced some amazing food, followed by Caitlyn the runner up. Well done all who took part....
