Ukrainian Christmas Party - January 2023

On 7th January 2023, the Orthodox Church Christmas Day, Huntingdonshire District Council hosted a Christmas Party for the District's Ukrainians and their hosts, supporterd by the local Rotary Clubs.

The Ukrainian Christmas Party!


Our Ukrainian friends, and some of their hosts, celebrated the Orthodox Church Christmas Day on 7th January at a party in the Commemoration Hall in Huntingdon.  The party was organized by the District Council and supported by the local Rotary clubs.  The St Ives club supplied all the soft drinks, with the very generous support of Tesco St Neots.  One hundred and ninety guests attended and enjoyed a delicious, typically Ukrainian menu, and were entertained by the Ukrainian Ladies Choir and the Rotary Voices Choir.

Carols  and festive songs were sung in both Ukrainian and English and the atmosphere in the hall was amazing!  Everyone was obviously having a great time!  There were lots of smiling faces!
