Care in the Community Environmental Award

Mayor Julie Kerr and St Ives Town Council presented their Annual Care in the Community Award for 25/26 to St Ives against Rubbish (STAR) and all their volunteers - which includes St. Ives Rotary Club Members,


 Rebecca Morgan - Chapman for STAR says “This recognition belongs to everyone who gives up their time to care for our Community and Environment. So let’s keep going, keep caring, and keep making a positive impact together”. A sentiment which St. Ives RC strongly supports.
 
Because Yes - Every bag collected and every piece of litter removed really does make a difference. 

The UK Highways Agency estimates that around 3 million animals are killed each year due to litter pollution.
