£500 Donation to The St. Ives Butterfly Legacy Project

.

The Butterfly Legacy Project started during the first lock down, when scrubs were in short supply.

They are a group of sewing enthusiasts who have put their combined efforts into providing free scrubs to local hospitals, GP Surgeries and vaccination centres. They carried on when we returned to normal.  When not creating scrubs the volunteers have been creating a wide range of items to sell at local events, donating the funds to a number of local independent charities, such as The Acorn Cancer Support Group, and they donate a lot of their work to groups in Ukraine.  The Rotary Club of St Ives gave them the initial donation during lockdown to get them started and, as they continue to do great things, we thought it worthwhile to boost their funds again, and the Club was very happy to give a donation of £500.00.
