Members are requested to help pick fruit on Tuesday 25th September. We will meet at 6 pm at St Christopher's.
Fruit is ready and ladders will be available, but I will be taking my fruit picker on long handle.
Steve has said that pickers may have as much of the fruit as they wish, and the remainder will go to the Hope Centre

We had a great night picking apples, and the majority went to the Hope Centre. Many
thanks to Steve for staying on to help and guide us .. to David and
Lesley, and to Cilandell, a rotarian from Guyana now studying for a
Masters in Northampton. There were so many apples, and my long handled wolf Apple picker came in useful!
The apples tried to get us too and Steve Clamp, the facilities manager, had an awkward dismount from the ladder that startled us, and brought loads down. The big tree was 65 years old, and still has loads at the top - as we walked away we could see the red orbs catching the sun!!
We had a lot of fun and laughter as the apples dropped with and without our help, and to round off a great evening there was a lovely sunset as we were driving home.
