From THE BULL, Brackley Road, Towcester, NN12 6DH
We will start from THE BULL pub on the Brackley Road, Towcester, NN12 6DH, opposite Sponne school, at 10.30 and the walk should take a leisurely 2 hours.
January Walk will be a circular walk in and around the Roman town of Towcester, taking in the water meadows, the river Tove, the Castle Mound and back streets. It will include a visit to the visitors centre and a look at the outside of the new Council offices.
In case the weather turns wintery most of the walk ( 3.0 miles ) is on hard paving and a lot of it follows the river Tove, the Broad Water and the Silverstone Brook. There is a grass meadow, which we will assess on the day. Dogs are no problem.
