The four Rotary Clubs of Northampton jointly organized their inaugural Swimarathon at the Northampton High School in Hardingstone on Saturday 27th April. A Swimarathon is a charity event, where teams of six swimmers swim in relay format for an hour. There is only ever one swimmer from each team in the pool, at any one time. It is a fun event for all ages and all abilities, it is not a race or a competition.
The swimmers are encouraged to get sponsorship from their families and friends. The money raised goes primarily to our three main charities, The Hope Centre Northampton, the Alzheimers Society and Womens Aid . Other charities and local organisations will also benefit.
