President Dominic and Ruth Hogan
Ruth Hogan, a Bedford International bestselling author, gave a fascinating talk to Club members and their ladies on 25th February.
Ruth grew up in a house full of books and an unsurprising passion for reading but it was some years, after a serious car accident which prevented her from working full-time, that she started writing seriously. Her career really took off when she contracted cancer and filled her time writing, resulting in her best selling debut novel, The Keeper of Lost Things. She was totally unprepared for becoming an international public figure and amusingly recounted how she dealt with it.
Ruth concluded an entertaining and informative evening answering many questions from the floor. Rtn Richard
