Our speaker this evening is Peter Offer who has been with the BBC for almost 40 years. - Ladies Evening


Peter has been with the BBC almost 40 years. Firstly, as a Sound Recordist, then for almost 35 years as a Continuity Announcer introducing programmes on BBC1 and BBC2.

Since 2011 he has been freelance as a voice on Sky and many other commercial projects. He has the accolade of being the longest serving announcer on British TV!

His talk will be a tour through his life at the BBC. An eventful journey with lots of anecdotes involving some famous names, and some stories from the unpredictable world of live tv.
