The Rotary Club of Bedford Castle is proud to support the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire's initiative "Digital Poverty"

Digital Poverty - A High Sheriff Initiative

On Tuesday 8th December 2020 Tony Wildman, President of the Rotary Club of Bedford Castle, presented a cheque to the value of £2,000 to Mr Chris Deller, Head Teacher of The Bedford Academy, in support of Digital Poverty.

Bedford Castle has a long standing relationship with the Bedford Academy and felt the High Sheriff's cause could really make a difference to pupils who were at a digital disadvantage. The fact that so many students are now forced to work at home during the current pandemic made it all the more important.
