Rotary District 1260 is absolutely thrilled to announce our official sponsorship of the 2026 Tour de Vale Charity Bike Ride. Spanning Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire, our network of clubs is joining forces with WheelPower—the National Wheelchair Sport Charity—and media partner Bucks Radio to champion an incredible day of community, cycling, and life-changing impact.
Taking place on Sunday 7 June 2026, the Tour de Vale is far more than just a classic day out in the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside. Every single pedal push and every mile clocked raises vital funds for WheelPower.
While famously rooted at Stoke Mandeville, WheelPower’s mission reaches far beyond spinal injury support. As the National Wheelchair Sport Charity, they provide crucial opportunities for people with all forms of physical disabilities across the entire UK, helping individuals find confidence, community, and health through sport.
The beauty of the Tour de Vale is its complete inclusivity. Whether you are a dedicated club cyclist looking to test your endurance or a family enjoying a weekend ride together, there is a perfectly tailored route waiting for you. All rides start and finish at the iconic home of paralympic sport, Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
25km Route: Ideal for families, casual cyclists, and first-timers.
45km Route: A fantastic intermediate step-up.
70km Route: Designed for riders looking to push their boundaries.
110km Route: The ultimate endurance challenge for seasoned cyclists.
As Rotary’s "People of Action," District 1260 clubs will be deeply involved at every level of the event. Our fantastic volunteers from across Beds, Bucks, and Herts will be stationed along the courses—marshalling junctions, managing water stops, and providing the loudest cheers of encouragement on the road. We will also be waiting at the finish line to celebrate every single participant's spectacular achievement.
We want as many clubs, families, and solo riders as possible to join us for this historic event. Dust off your helmets, pump up your tyres, and let's make this the most successful Tour de Vale yet.
