On Thursday 24th November 2022 in the absence of President Brian Johnson, Wilna Roger took the meeting and welcomed 17 club Rotarians and 42 guests to this evening meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.
What an amazing night and what amazing talent. Our annual Scottish/St Andrew's night at Gilvenbank. We had Conner Pratt and the Black watch cadets’ pipes and drums to open the night, then Auchmuty HS Scottish ensemble, a poem recited by Kimberley Galloway, Highland dancing from Serena Bianconcini, singing from Lily Mentiplay and finally a fabulous Scottish Accordion and Keyboard medley of Scottish music from Clelland, Blythe & Inver. “The Shands”.
With the proceeds of the evening, we were able to present a cheque for £600 to Pam Kirkum from John Fergus School in Glenrothes to help towards their sensory garden project.
Anne Sampson gave the Rotary vote of thanks once again highlighting the massive talent we have in the schools and community also thanking Wilna Roger for organising the evening and the hotel for the food and service.
Next week 1st December 2022 will be a lunch time meeting to be held at the Gilvenbank Hotel meeting by 12.45pm and commencing at 12.55pm prompt. Our speakers this week will be Fiona Maguire/Martin Edwards – Colly Café.’
