On Thursday the 5th May 2022 President Brian Johnson welcomed 17 Club Rotarians, with one on ZOOM to this lunch time hybrid meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.
Two apologies for nonattendance were received.
This meeting was a business meeting which also included our AGM.
Budgetary controller Walter Fletcher gave us an update of the General Budget for the succeeding year where we agreed the clubs Annual Subscription remain the same provided no changes made to RIBI or District fees.
We also confirmed the Office bearers would be President Brian Johnson continuing for another year, Scott Galloway would be Senior Vice President, No Junior Vice was appointed at this stage, Secretary Anne Sampson, Treasurer Geoff Sampson and other appointed members of Council for Environment David Cooper, for Foundation, Chantal Mrimi, , School Liaison Wilna Roger, Vocational Lindsay Roy, and other members of Council Ewen MacDonald and Iain Haywood. It was confirmed that Dr Hamish Rothnie a past president and with a long association with the club was stepping down as an honorary member. The following had been asked and confirmed that they would like to be honorary members. Jim Boyd, Murray Grubb, and Archie Lawrie • Jim Boyd agreed to be the examiner of the club’s annual accounts. • The President and President Elect would be our representatives of the club on the district council
David Cooper had spoken about plants for the planter at Riverside Park had now ordered up the plants
Secretary Anne Sampson spoke about the district conference to be held on Saturday 18th June 2022 and also mentioned about the Ukrainian Bikes appeal where the response has been fantastic. Thanks to all those who have donated bikes.

Geoff Sampson mentioned the Ukrainian collection and advised that Paddy Reilly from Denside Removals was looking to uplift our recently packed items on Friday.
Wilna Roger mentioned the Awards evening and also about the Rotary in Fife newsletter which includes our Ukrainian appeal update, Young Carers, The old Tools project, Books abroad and the recent Amazon project initiated by former PM Gordon Brown, where Dunfermline Rotary are getting heavily involved.
We were looking to organise an event in Walter Fletchers Garden to mark the Queens Jubilee on 5th June 2022.
Jennifer Jones incoming Rotary International President is looking to come to Fife on Wednesday 11th May 2022.
This coming week Thursday 12th May 2022 is a ZOOM meeting commencing at 1.00pm prompt with our speaker Shwetal Shah talking about Seeds of Social Action
