Lunch time meeting - ZOOM Meeting business meeting and induction of new member Amy Thomson

On Thursday19th August 2021 President Brian Johnson. took the chair as he welcomed 17 Club Rotarians and soon to be member Amy Thomson to this lunch time meeting held by ZOOM.

President Brian Johnson had the pleasure of and delighted to induct his second new member into Rotary. Amy Thomson is a trained mental health nurse has recently been involved in setting up the Markinch Youth project will be a welcome addition to the club.

As we did not have a speaker, it gave us the opportunity to discuss forthcoming events in particular the fundraiser on the 3rd of October akin to the successful vintage afternoon tea held a few years ago to be held at Studio8 in Glenrothes with singing and dance routines.

Iain Oates and David Cooper spoke about the forthcoming environmental projects we are involved with and on behalf of Chantal Mrimi, Anne Sampson mentioned the end Polio now campaign with the possibility of lighting up buildings in Glenrothes on 24th October which is world polio day.

This coming week Thursday 26th August 2021 we will be holding an evening ZOOM meeting commencing at 7pm with our speaker Colin Powell speaking about living with Polio.
