On Thursday12th August 2021 in the absence of President Brian Johnson. IPP Geoff Sampson took the chair as he welcomed 16 Club Rotarians to this lunch time meeting held by ZOOM.
As we did not have a speaker today, we discussed outcomes from our recent club council meeting where we confirmed Lindsay Roy had decided to step down as SVP but happy to continue supporting the club.
We confirmed that as from the beginning of September for the 1st and 3rd Thursday’s we would meet at Gilvenbank for a lunch time meeting. The 2nd Thursday would be a ZOOM meeting and the 4th Thursday an evening meeting at 6.30pm for a meal with a speaker or social.
We spoke about the fundraiser on the 3rd of October akin to the successful vintage afternoon tea held a few years ago to be held at Studio8 in Glenrothes with singing and dancing and we will hold a ZOOM meeting at 7pm on Wednesday evening 18th August to further discuss arrangements.
This coming week Thursday 19th August 2021 at 1pm on ZOOM we hope to have speaker Ian Gilray of the Beekeeper association. It is also the intention that President Brian Johnson will have the pleasure of and delighted to induct his second new member into Rotary. Amy Thomson who has been inspirational in setting up Markinch Youth Project Balbirnie Park Detached Youth Work Pilot will we are sure be a welcome addition to the club.
