Glenrothes High School 50th Anniversary

Rotarians visiting the School's special anniversary celebrations


Rotarians were invited to the 50th anniversary of Glenrothes High School.There were 2 open days for ex pupils and ex teachers and a final day where rotarians and other school partners were invited.  There was an address by Avril McNeill - Rector of the school, followed  by some background about the school and their own school experiences.from the head boy and girl and depute head boy and girl,  School memories were shared by Business Manager Scott Paberzs, Muriel Stenhouse,now a teacher at Auchmuty High School and ex teacher David Potter


The school band played "California Dreaming " from 50 years ago and a time capsule was buried in the school grounds


Afterwards the guests enjoyed a buffet complete with a cake made by Rotary young Chef 2016 Grant Duffus who also created a "friends of GHS Facebook page for the event!
The stunning display in the hallway was created by Olivia McKendrick Brown - our 2016 Young Artist!
