Sandy Ritchie and Elaine Cardno visited the Warm Space at the Harvest Centre in Elgin on Tuesday to meet the volunteers and give them the good news that they have received £1000 from our Christmas Collections. The volunteers provide a lovely homely space for people to come along for soup, tea and cake and companionship every Tuesday from 12 to 3pm. They also provide games and crafts if any of the users wish this. They get no funding , but the owners of the building provide the room free of charge and are very supportive. They have a donations jar but there is no pressure on users to pay.The donation from Rotary will allow them to buy some more crockery and tablecloths and provide training and certification for those who work in the kitchen and will help with any expenses going forward.
