State of the Nation
Moray Council Update January 2026
As has become a custom, Moray Council Leader provided a "State of the Nation" update to members at our first meeting of the year, it was by zoom due to the adverse weather being experienced, the show must go on as they say.
Kathleen Robertson, the leader of Moray Council, delivered her fourth annual address to the Elgin
Rotary Club, highlighting the council's achievements in 2025 despite challenging conditions. In her address she
discussed the successful implementation of the Moray Growth Deal, which has moved from
promise to progress, and the Leveling Up Fund's support for town center regeneration.
