Supporting Logan’s Fund, Elgin Youth Development Group, and Rotary Charities
Two years ago Rotary Elgin held a corporate charity golf day raising approx £1,600 for each of its three nominated beneficiaries. Given the day’s success, we are holding another at Elgin Golf Club on Friday 18 September 2026 and here is your opportunity to join in the fun once again, or maybe, for the first time.
The aims of our Golf Day are to provide fun, opportunities for networking and, importantly, to raise the profile of and funds for three local charities. This September those beneficiaries are:
Logan’s Fund. This is a children’s cancer charity formed following the brave fight of 3 1/2 year old Logan Main who was born in Dr Grays and lived his short life in Moray. His bereaved family set up the charity to raise awareness of the immense cruelty of childhood cancers and to offer families some optimism or an alternative focus away from hospital and beyond the treatment. It is entirely volunteer-run (8 persons) and relies on fundraising and donations.
Elgin Youth Development Group. This Elgin based charity was established in 1998, and supports young people throughout Moray with the aim of guiding and encouraging them to realise their full potential through confidence-building and well-being activities, as well as opportunities to become active members of their communities.
Rotary Charities Fund. Rotary Elgin Charitable Trust supports many local organisations and charities throughout the year all making a difference in their community, as well as the world-wide “end Polio” campaign.
This is a four-person team event with morning bacon roll and a post-golf buffet meal at a cost of £400 per team. Details of the competition format and how to enter are attached with this letter. Please note, there will be a raffle and other donation opportunities during the event!

2024 Charity Golf Event
On Friday 13 September Rotary Elgin hosted a Corporate Charity Golf Day at Elgin Golf Club in aid of three local charities: Erskine Veterans’ Charity (which is opening an activities centre in Forres); the Oaks; and, our local Parkinsons’ Support Group.
The day was superbly supported by 17 organisations in teams of 4 participating in a shotgun-start stableford competition with individual prizes for nearest the pin, nearest the pin in two, and ‘beat the Pro’.
The prize-winning teams were:
Much praise was given to Elgin Golf Club for the top-class condition of the course and the greens, the warm hospitality and service of the clubhouse staff, the delicious carvery enjoyed by all, and to the Pro and his shop staff. Top marks Elgin Golf Club!
