Heather and Georgie - RYLA
Heather Manisty and Georgie McGettrick - RYLA candidates
Heather and Georgia presented their experiences at RYLA, a leadership camp, describing the daily schedule which included morning speakers, team activities, and evening events. They detailed various activities the group participated in, including raft building, mountain climbing, coasteering, and rock climbing, while highlighting the strong bonds formed with their teams and new friends. Heather also mentioned the importance of phone-free time, the quality of the food, and how the week concluded with an emotional farewell barbecue.
Georgia went on to highlighting how attending RYLA had boosted her confidence and helped form lifelong friendships
Both girls expressed enthusiasm about spreading the word about RYLA to schools to encourage others to benefit equally from the experience. Always a popular meeting with members and guests who were encouraged to visit RYLA's visitor days.
