The weather was ideal, with sunshine and blue sky. A wind did eventually build up on the high moor causing the refreshment tent to be taken down early to prevent it blowing away!
Andrew Lambe of Darlington was first home after running the 12 mile route in 1hr 40min. Elizabeth Crank of Bishops Stortford, was the first lady and second overall in 2hr 2min, beating Keith Bell of Leyburn and John Smith of Hartlepool into joint 3rd place, with John Hunter of Richmond
more This year we had 433 entries and 391 runners and walkers starting, taking numbers back to pre-covid levels. They enjoyed much better weather and ground conditions than were predicted!

more Wensleydale Rotary Club's Annual Wensleydale Wander returned to the dale yesterday. It was a friendly and sociable walk through The Dale in aid of our usual charities. The principal charity for the event is Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
