After early rain the day turned dry by the time of the start with sunny periods, although a little windy, pretty good walking and running conditions for the entrants.
We had 110 entrants, 7 on the 5.7 mile route and 113 on the longer 13.6 mile route. Of those 89 took part on the day.
The event raised over £1400 for local charities and good causes. While this event isn’t a race some entrants do run and the first man home was Neil Bowmer in 1 hour 2 minutes and the first woman was Ruth Waterston in 2 hours 12 minutes
We were able to use the main hall at Wensleydale School which provides a great base to run the event from. As last year our members and friends provided a wonderful spread of sandwiches and cakes that were much appreciated, along with tea and coffee.
We would like to thank the RAYNET volunteers who manned the radio communications in the school and at the checkpoints, and all the Rotarians and friends who helped, either in the school or on the course.
