NOTES FOR SPEAKERS

SPEAKERS GUIDE

Thank you for accepting our invitation to speak to Ripon Rotary Club. We meet at Ripon Rugby Club, Mallorie Park Drive, HG4 2QD. [01765 604675]

  • Our meetings are held Tuesdays 12:00 for 12:30. Please arrive slightly earlier if your presentation requires connection to Digital Media such as Television or Multimedia Projector. It needs to be tested.
  • We have a welcomer on duty and the Rugby Club Manager, Sam Stoddart will be able to assist with any HDMI/USB media connections your computer may require. We have a remote control "clicker"/laser pointer for slide presentations.
  • The club uses an amplification system and you will be invited to use a Microphone or Lapel Mike
  • Once general club business is concluded, our speakers are invited to speak for up to 30 minutes. Please allow time for questions which may arise. Generally, we have approximately 30 in attendance

We are a traditional Rotary Club and you will encounter a Grace/ or Thought for the day, as well as Rotary and Loyal Toasts. You may be asked to draw the weekly winning raffle ticket. If you have previously spoken to a Rotary Club, not all clubs follow exactly the same pattern. Above all you will be made most welcome, we have a friendly and relaxed environment.

  • We are glad to provide our speaker with a free two course lunch. Additional guests would usually have to pay. Please let us know in advance of any special dietary requirement.
  • Before or after you speak you are welcome to distribute leaflets and to linger a while after the meeting to answer any further questions.
  • Please respect the Car Park entry, egress and directional protocols. In particular the preferred access is directly via Mallorie Park Road, is signed and also passes Ripon AFC. The route for exit is via Mallorie Court.

We appreciate your willingness to speak on your chosen subject, and hope you enjoy meeting with us.
